I'm back home from a short trip to the north of Germany. My yoga mat was with me, yet I didn't use it. It's possible to practice Ashtanga yoga when travelling, yet it's difficult. I usually adjust to the rhythm of the hosts. During trips the schedule changes. I also sleep longer. However...... I'm back and I slept so good last night and so long. That is I'll practice at home........

Monday: I slept in..... I cannot even remember to have heard the alarm clock.... was busy all day.
Tuesday: I slept in.... practiced at home in the morning.
Today I woke up without alarm clock and I went to the Mysore class. My practice is so much more intensive when I practice in a group.
At home my kapotasana attempts are lousy. I need to get adjusted here. This motivates me to give the rest of energy that is still available after 2 hours.
Path and goal belong together. Both have their qualities. One shall not underestimate the beauty of the path. To know where to go is important, too.

I look at the picture and study how I can get from the first picture to the second picture.
Ashtanga yoga is not only about the asanas it's also about how to connect them: the vinyasas.

This is indeed the first step - see picture. One must be able to lift up the body. From there the challenge starts. One must move the upper body forwards....The shoulder girdle shall help here. The feet shall not touch the floor when the body moves forward.
This movement is so demanding.
I wonder: what can I do what can I do......... perhaps I should film to see where I'm stuck....

Party time is over. A new year has started for me. It was a highlight for me that I could practice on the day of my birth. Then I was busy with my guests. We all had so much fun that it's very likely that I plan another party next year.....
So today I went to the Mysore class after a few days off. It was not easy to find the way out of the bed, yet I got up and went.
I had no expectations. Just doing it was my motto.
I'm curious what will be my last asana next year....... :)
