3 ingredients if you like to progress

I just found this hint in the book "Yoga" by T.K.V. Desikachar, the son of Krishnamacharya:

When the student wants to progress, it is also important (beside correct exercise over a long period of time) to practice with joy, alertness, and confidence.

Are you talking about 'The Heart of Yoga?' It's an amazing book! We studied out of it during teacher training :)

I think "The heart of yoga" is another book. The one I have here is called "Yoga".

It's also a very good book, with a lot of information.
